In regards to post-operative care, I was wondering if taking a guinea 
pig home the day of surgery is a wise idea. Will the moving about after 
a serious operation be more harmful then liveing her overnight for at 
least one day of recovery and to receive pain medication etc. I have 
always left my guinea pigs over night one day after serious surgery.  

You might want to check with your vet on this.
