Hi Susanna,

	Yep, if the nails are getting long, trimming is needed!  Otherwise it'll 
lead to foot health problems because he won't be able to walk 
properly.  You'll want to cut to the quick (just below where the vein ends 
in the nail.)  A guillotine nail clipper (they go for around $15) will make 
things easier.  Also, wrapping the little guy up in a blanket will help, as 
it'll give them a place to snuggle down into.  If you do hit the vein, dab 
some corn starch on the wound to help the clotting.
	My little pig's nails are dark, so I take him to the vet to get them 
clipped (and checked out while he's there); it runs around $15 per visit.
