It has been several days, MAYBE even a week since I have been saddened to 
read of the passing of one of our little guys. Tomorrow will be Christmas Day  
which will coincide with sixth day of Hanukkah. Knowing that, I think I can 
speak for each and every one of us that subscribe to the Guinea Pig Daily Digest 
when I ask God that on this special day that he smile on all of us. And though 
presents is not what either holiday is about, I might ask on behalf of all of 
us that he grant us through his grace "one more day" with all of our little 
guys and for this one day, allow the bridge to see one day untraveled. I would 
ask he find homes for even just one or two of the little abandoned guys who 
might not otherwise know what it is like to be loved and hugged. I thank him for 
those little guys that have been sick, some seriously, that he has helped heal 
not the least od which was GOLDY, one tuff little guy.  Finally, I would ask 
that he keep under his wing all of those that have crossed over the bridge, 
both ours (those of us who subscribe to this newsletter) and the little ones 
that have not been as fortunate and have never known the fortunes of a warm home 
some parsley, carrots and lettuce and the love of a mommy and daddy. In 
closing I would offer every gift I might receive for even one more hour with my 
little guy George, for he gives me, as each of your little ones give you the 
greatest gift of all...that smile only he or she can put in your heart. Happy 
holidays to each and all of you and a special thanks to those responsible for 
running the GPDD. Without them, some wonderful people might never have become 
friends and some little guys/girls might not have had the benefit of some very 
expert advice. Just one more day...
