Paul, maybe your piggies don't have mites... it could be something else. My 
vet uses Advantage, too, to try to treat parasites. Also, a scab could be a 
fungal infection... has your vet tried that? Neem oil is supposed to help with 
fungal infections. It never helped mine, though. I had to resort to bathing in 
Malaseb shampoo once a week and using silvadene cream on the bad spots.
