Hello Janelle
I stopped giving mine vitamin C about a year ago after
reading that if they eat right, they don't need any
extra vitamin C. 
Too much vitamin C can cause kidney problems in
humans, so it probably is the same in animals. They
get vitamin C in the pellets and in the fruits and
vegtables. I was afraid that an extra supplement would
be too much.
