Sue,
Guinea pigs are creatures of habit and get used to
eating a particular type of food. When there's a
sudden change, not only do they tend to not eat much,
it can also throw their digestion out of whack and
cause diarrhea or constipation. It's best to switch
foods gradually by mixing some of the new food in with
the old and gradually increasing the amount of new
while decreasing the amount of old food, until it's
all the new type. Of course some pigs are just picky
eaters and may never like a new type of food. Good
luck!
Stacy and the Squee Squad...who happen to be picky
eaters and drive their Slave nuts...
