[Gpdd] ANNOUNCEMENT: Did your post get lost?

HTML in messages:

http://www.gpdd.org/faq.html#faq12

While GPDD is now able filter out HTML coded messages, everyone should make
every effort to send plain text only messages to the list. Not only is the
preferred format for the digest, it is the format will cause the least
amount of problems when posting to the digest.

There have been several occassions where messages that were approved by the
GPDD moderators were *completely* removed by the HTML filtering program. A
very detailed explanation of why you should send only plain text messages
and how to configure your mail client can be found at:

  http://www.expita.com/nomime.html

We know that some mail clients like AOL may not allow you to configure how
your mail is sent, but these services also send the message as a text
attachment.

If you have sent a post to the GPDD and have not gotten a rejection (don't
forget to add those Topics to your subject line! That's teh #1 reason for
rejection!), yet you don't see your post on the GPDD in 24 hours' time,
please drop a note to <gpdd_admin at gpdd.org> and let us know. If we can
pinpoint what e-mail programs and/or services are causing the problem,
we'll have a better chance of solving it!
