[Gpdd] (BEHAVIOR) problem with my young piggies, they are still battling about whos gonna be the queen of their mansion

Hi everybody!


Sorry to bother you again but I am worried sick about my piggie girls.Since
I am all new in this piggie game, I dont know which behavior I should worry
about or not.Its not easy beein a over the top worried piggie mum :)


I might have a problem.I have two young sows ( age 8 weeks).I have just had
them  for almost three weeks now.The piggie girls didnt know eachother
before I put them together.(I bought them in different pet stores.) And
they are almost constantly having a go at eachother.They chases eachother
round and round in the cage while making those "get away from me"
sqeeks.Its always just one of them that starts this and then chases the
other until its tired out.Both the piggies are doing this.They are taking
turns in whos the bully and  whos the victim.Its really disturbing to watch
this.Earlier they also turned and faced eachother with their noses sticking
high up in the air and it looked like they were going to bite eachother.
How long will this battling go on??They have done this for two weeks now,
everyday, several times a day.
Is this normal behaviour?? Is it a dominance thing??
I am really worried about this.I guess when they are grown up , they will
act out a lot less??.

But I have experienced that this arguing behaviour mostly occurs when I am
present in the room.Then the piggies are getting all worked up , jumping up
and down and racing around in the cage.They usually get very excited when I
approach the cage cause they know it might be goodies for them...:)
and everytime I change the hay  (everyday I do that) which is layin in the
cage so they can eat, hide and play in it at the same time, they get all
worked up and tries to race through the new and remaining hay :)

and the battling always starts in one of this heated moments.It seems like
one of the piggies cant stand the other one jumping all over the place and
then begins to chase or snap at the over excited piggie.
But when its all quiet around them and I am observing them from a distance,
then they are happily chewing hay.

So I am somewhat confused :)

is this normal behavior?? and how long will this battling go on for??
months or?? whats the normal battling period??
