Hi all slaves,
Interesting the discussions going on about the veggies dos and don'ts I
thought I was being a good slave by feeding carrots, melon, cabbage,
cucumber and celery daily, Lenny's wee looked quite thick yesterday, so a
few less carrots I think, if they are so high in calcium.
Badger and Gizmo are our two babies, bought locally at a pet store with a
reputable owner, they were not cage mates in the shop but seemed to get on
and going by their colouring are related. they are tricolour smoothies with
the pointed face, Gizmo looks like a mouse, guess what Badger looks like.
Well, they had an adventure at the weekend! as it was a nice sunny autumn
day I thought they could do with some fresh air and sunshine so I put them
in the run. they are only about 4 months now and weigh just over a pound
each, and they love the run but look so small in it. It was dark and getting
cold when Sarah reminded me to bring them in. the rabbit has a run free out
side but usually these days stays on the porch he used to go under the
jasmine at the side of the house. this night as we walked round by the
jasmine Sarah heard some rustling under the bush where the dry leaves get
caught. she thought it was the rabbit and shone her torch at the ground and
who should look up but Badger! and Gizmo was right there. She said 'it's the
babies' and all I could do was look in the run in disbelief and then I saw a
little gap where they had obviously made their escape. Sarah said she had
Badger and grabbed Gizmo where he stood and not very gently really- I was so
shocked and concerned! can you imagine what would have happened to the poor
little things if we hadn't found them so easily! Makes me go wheeek at the
knees.
I held onto Gizmo so tight he must have felt I was crushing him. Later on
when we were cuddling Badger has developed a habit of biting my hair, it is
longer than my shoulders and quite blonde, I caught him with a mouth ful the
other day! he must think it's hay.
Must go now that's enough for tonight
wheeeeeeks to all slaves
