Dear Fellow Piggy Lovers,
It is with a very heavy heart and tear-filled eyes that I let you know of
the passing of my beloved Dodger on Wednesday, 9/3.  Dodger, cagemate Anakin
and I have been GPDD subscribers since the "boys'" birth in 1997, in
Belgium. They travelled with me at my feet in Business Class (SABENA is very
pet friendly) across the Atlantic in 2001; lived happily in a very roomy
coloplast and cubes cage for the last 2 years and, thanks to the wonderful
information on this site, maintained good health up to the last few months
of his life. Like a little old man, he started turning gray around his eyes
and mouth.  He lost a considerable amout of weight and his water comsumption
increased. Yet he remained very alert and his appetite never decreased. Meds
made no difference. The end came swiftly and peacefully. I know he's happily
playing with all the other piggies over the Rainbow Bridge, perhaps
introducing them to his favorite treat, blueberries, and telling them tales
of his European adventures.  Goodbye, dear Dodge.

Sadly missed by slaves Laura, Elspeth and Breton, but mostly by cagemate,
Anakin
