Aspen is a very good bedding. It has none of the aromatic oils that can cause 
problems with cedar (VERY BAD) or Pine. It is a little harder wood, so it 
won't absorb as well as the others, but should be fine if you put a nice thick 
layer of newsprint under the shavings.
