Hi Carla, Snickers and Snowball!
When I was young and I moved into my
first apartment (many, many years ago),
I had a roach problem...Yuk! And to get
rid of them, I used a product called
COMBAT Roach bait stations. It was these
little black discs and you would place
them in various areas of your home. And
the roaches would eat the poison in it
and then take it back to their nests or
where ever they hid and stuff and they
would in turn infect the whole colony
and kill them off. The stuff was GREAT! 
And after I started using them, I didn't 
have a roach problem ever again.
