[Gpdd] Health/ Safety of aspen pellets used under pine litter

>       A while back I bought a bag of aspen pellets for my guys' litter pans -- which they incidentally don't use. I mixed them with pine bedding to "test" their efficiency or whatever, but Wilson would pick them out and eat them. I've thought of putting them in the corners where they are most apt to urinate, under the pine litter, to make mid-week cleaning easier.
>       Has anyone used these litter pellets? And if so, with what results? And do other people's guinea pigs try to eat them? (Bag says they're digestable but Wilson seemed to be picking them out to munch the way some people go after the peanuts in a box of CrackerJacks!)
