Hello Friends!
Mitty here(*,,,,)..............
Tried to send e-mail before but got kicked back due to html:-(
I am now trying the www.aol.com meathod of accessing the gpdd....if you are reading this...then it works!

I just want to pass on a few things.

1. Aloe Vera plant (not store bought as it contains alcohol) has been a wonderful alternative medicine for my pigs. For scratches and wounds of all kinds, I bubble out the wound with peroxide (a few times in a row, drying in between) and then apply the gel from inside the Aloe leaf (cut the leaf open and goop it on) and one of my pigs snatched it from me one time (the leaf) and ate an inch or so!! Naturally I freaked out....but there were no ill effect from it (that I could see) so.....perhaps it would not hurt them to eat it to? (although im not ready to start serving it up for treats!! In the event I should have a pig on his last leg...I will use the aloe as a last resort(internally) to see what happens. I have used aloe internally myself with good results so....wait and see but as for scrapes and cuts....it is my first choice!:-)

2.Chirping Pig- I have heard this sound twice only...once the night before an old piggy passed away and once the night before my pig "Lucy" lost her 2 babies. Wierd huh? Is it a sad cry?? A type of mourning? Ill let you know if they do it again and if their is a piggy passing thereafter. To date Im chalking it up to coincidence.

Warm Healing Wheeks to all piggies and slaves:-)
