Hi All
I have read about fat/hair tumors in here for at couple of days now, thougt
it was time for my "5 cents".
I have an older male, 7 years, who grows fat/hair tumors, he has had tre in
all.
I remowed one of them myself by sudating the skin with Lidocain and then cut
a small hole (2-3 mm) with at sterile scalpel. Then press alle the stuff out
and put steptocillin on each day until it was healed.
I consulted the vet first and she agreed with me it would be too stessfull
for such an old male to "be put under" and it was ok for me to do it myself.
I would have left it alone becource of his age, but it was right next to his
eye and it he was irritadet by it. Hes fine now and it is almost two months
ago:).
BUT before any of you try this you should alvays get a vet to determine if
it really is a fat/hair thing (they take a sample), it could be cancer fx,
and THAT you cannot remove yourself...

ps: pleace, I hope no one will be offendet by any "misspelling" in this
mail, I´m Danish and Enlish is only my 3 laguage....
