Debbie,
Thanks for asking about Pinky. He is doing well. The
doc gave him a sulfa-based antibiotic and he is having
no adverse affects. In fact, the sore is much smaller
and new hair seems to be growing in. Once it started
to heal, the knot seemed to get smaller, too. We go
back for a check-up on the 8th, but I think the sore
was just due to Pinky being a rambunctious baby and
maybe hurting himself on his wooden box or something.
(He really likes to run laps, and I suspect he may
have scraped his leg on the box-definitely more floor
time from now on for this little one!)
He and Oscar are getting along famously, and they even
call for each other if I take one of them out of the
cage. It's so cute! Oscar seems in much better spirits
now that he has a companion.

Danielle,
Get your piggy to the vet! Heavy breathing and runny
nose can indicate a cold/respiratory infection, and
these things can progress dangerously fast. By the
time your piggy is showing symptoms, he is usually
already very sick. Good luck and healing wheeps.

Stacy and the Squee Squad (all 8 of 'em...)
