Donna,
I have a pig who also nips and tugs on my clothes when
he has to go potty; he NEVER potties on me. And I have
one who (he thinks) is very considerate, and backs his
butt off my lap to go. Little does he know, it's still
soaking into my jeans!
At least he tries- my three girls go wherever they
feel like it. It's gotten so that if I pay attention,
I'll notice them start to back up, then I can quickly
put them back in their cage. 
It sounds like Spike is quite the gentleman!
