Hello Slaves!
I took my Brownie Bear to Vet in Northern
Va. (USA) yesterday to have x-rays and a
urinalysis done (to check for bladder stones).
I was so Nervous (and have been all wheeeek).
Well, Good News! she didn't have any stones...
Whew! What a relief. And her urinalysis was
normal. But, she did have some sludge buildup,
so I'm going to start syringe-feeding her even
more water. She's been drinking a ton more
water than she used to, but I don't think it's
enough. I had stopped syringing her because
I thought she was doing well with the water
intake. But, anyways...

Check this out, B-Bear had weighed about 2.8 lbs
for the longest time. And well, I had noticed
that she had gained some weight because she's
heavier now (plus, I weigh her on a kitchen scale
a couple of times a wheeeeeek). Well, Miss Brownie
Bear now weighs 3.1 lbs and the Vet has put her
on a diet. The strange thing is--she doesn't eat
a lot more than she used to. And I'm very strict
with her veggie portions. So, ??? I don't know.
Dr. Campbell said that she could be over-eating
on her pellets. But, also the Vet said that she
may have gained the weight because her hormones
are adjusting to the Spay (lack of uterus) which
was done back in December. So, I'm cutting my
Bear back on pellets. She does have unlimited
timothy hay, and I think I'm going to have set
up more 'stations' in her free-range area to
promote more excercise.

Daddy Slave and I had noticed that Brownie was
getting a little plump on the sides of her tummy,
and she 'woddles' now when she walks or runs. ha ha
She's so Incredibly Cute and full of Personality.
I Thanked God when I got home from my long journey
to the Vets (it took me about 1 hr 45 min each way)
for keeping those Evil Stones out of my Baby's
body. I would do Anything to keep her stone-free...

      Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeeeeps,
        Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear :-)
