Hi Susie,
Oh no, I will not be the dandelion leaves trying guinea pig---what a
mouthful!!!
I have heard that they taste bitter.
But I can tell you that we went in the fields, when I was a little girl, and
collect nettles. Steamed nettles over mashed potatoes are very, very yummy.
I dare you to try the dandelion leaves.

Also, let's brainstorm about starting a preferred vet list. I am wondering if
we need to ask the vets if they want their names on a list, I don't see why
not. I will do some research on it and hope that others come up with ideas also.
As we all know, there are good ones and bad ones. I am, for once, not too
keen on exotic vets that charge you an arm and a leg. There are some terrific
regular vets out there, Sweetie got saved by one of them. I have found out that
most vets are honest about whether or not they are capable of treating pigs,
but I have also seen vets that charge outrages prices that nobody can afford,
and do not care about the animal.
As some of you know, I am corresponding with my german advisors, and found
out that a vet visit for a guinea pig or rabbit is about $ 20.00 in Germany, and
that includes treatment. Now that's more likely.
