Hi Donna,
I was sad that the woman who ended up with the pig
said that she 'had animals before, and knew what to
do' even though her daughter said that they never had
gpigs before. Just like all animals, the care that
gpigs require is unique. Don't feel bad about not
ending up with him - there are more piggies out there
needing good homes. I don't think there is anything
wrong with GETTING a pig from a "free to good home"
ad, but there is something wrong with GIVING UP a
small animal via FTGH ad. It's just because there are
so many people out there who wouldn't take care of the
pig who would rather get a free pig than pay an
adoption fee, as well as those people who still feed
live animals to their reptiles. If you see such an ad
don't hesitate to call them - who knows where else the
gpig could end up.
Best of luck in finding a new pig!
