I got home from work for a few hours mid day today, which is rather
unusual, and I discovered a little of what my piggies had been up to.
Brunhilde, my sweet fluffy angel of a pig, was hiding when I peeked in,
like she was waiting for me to leave again, so I picked up Gus and cuddled
him for a while instead-he's such a lap pig anymore! Anyway, I heard a
rustling from Brunhilde's cage area, that sounded kind of like she was
playing in a bunch of hay, only I had not given her THAT much this
morning. So Gus and I investigated and found her working industriously at
removing the plastic wrap from the piece of hay bale I keep between the
cages. She had evidentally tried the plastic and decided it was gross,
cause there was a soggy piece of plastic the size of the missing section,
all chewed and slobbery, in her cage. When I went to remove the plastic,
she ran over and sat on it, all the while making cute "pet me" chirps and
whistles at me like she was totally innocent. And her brother, Max, in the
next cage over was watching from under his newspaper, looking on as if he
was hoping she'd pass him some when she got to the good stuff. When I left
the room, having removed the bale of hay from withing reach for sure this
time, along with the plastic, Max and Brunhilde chirped after me as if I
was taking away their favorite blankie or something. What adorably naughty
piggies!
