To Shweta & Poopsy,

My own personal rule that I use is that if it is below 60 degrees my
piggies don't go outdoors. I am not sure what you mean by a "free range"
piggie unless you mean that it lives outdoors all the time. But remember
that these little guys don't have much hair on their ears and feet and
they could get frostbitten very easily.

If you think a piggie is cold, pick it up and hold it next to your face.
If the ears, nose, or feet feel cold............then the piggie is cold.

Jim.....Sassy Suzy and Ginger

P.S. To everyone,

My new C & C cage is working out beautifully and now Sassy Suzy and
Ginger live happily together. There was a lot of discussion between the
two of them the first day they lived together. (I don't even want to
know what they were saying to each other.) Remember........Sassy Suzy
was the one who hated guinea pigs and couldn't get along with anybody
(any piggie).

They don't use the balcony much except I put them both up there when I
clean out the bottom portion of the cage. I take away the ramp while I
am cleaning otherwise they would come running down and get in the middle
of my trying to clean the cage. They both line up and peek over the edge
to watch and see what I am doing. When I finish I put the ramp back up
and they immediately come scampering down to investigate their new clean
cage.
