Erin,

I was very touched by your announcement on the passing of Max. Please
accept my deepest condolences. There are no words to adequately give you
peace when you loose someone like Max. But, because of you he lived a
very long and rewarding life; especially the last three years.

I was also interested in your comments about the rest of the herd were in
a subdued mood when they learned of Max cross over The Bridge. Back in
April I lost my dear Koko who died on my lap. I then put him back in his
cage with Abby his lifelong friend. She licked his head, eyes, and mouth
for several minutes trying to get him to wake up. She then snuggled down
with him for about ten minutes. After that she looked up at me as if to
say: "You can take him now; I have said goodbye". Abby wasn't crying
but I was.

Piggies do understand death and seem to deal with it in their own way.
They are very perceptive and intelligent little animals.

Again.......I am sorry for your loss. Max is now in peace and playing
with a lot of his buddies.

Jim.....Sassy Suzy and Ginger
