Hi,
I am just letting every one know that Tiffany and I enjoy reading about everything, and can not wait to make new friends. That secret santa was such a good idea, I hope everyone will be happy next year, I know I am hoping to participate in it.
Tiffany seems very healthy, but I do not think she is eating any food, just hay and treats. Should I give her the food alone and then hay and treats later in the day?
Also she is very skidesh around loud noises and we have had her for over a week, will she calm down, because my sister wants to hold her, and she can barely pick her up.

Happy holidays,
Tiffany and her concerned slave

Hello everyone. I'm sorry to have to announce the sudden loss of Katie. She
was the black Abyssinian I was worried about the week before Christmas. My
husband and I left for vacation early on Wednesday, Dec. 22nd. Later that
night (about 6:30 or 7:00), we received a phone call from my neighbor who told me
that Katie was dead. She seemed fine when we left--eating, pooping, etc. I
did have some trepidation about leaving her but I couldn't bring her with us. I
should have brought Katie and Ginger to the vet before Christmas but I
thought Katie was doing all right and because of Christmas coming, I didn't want to
take the time. I feel horrible and I miss Katie so much, she definitely stole
my heart. My neighbor felt so bad about it, she got me another one -- white,
short-hair, with red eyes. I told her not to but she did anyway and now I
don't know how to tell her I don't want her. I just don't want to bond with
her. What should I do? Thanks, CJ

Hi Lisa!

NO! I still have seen nor heard anything from this secret santa pig for Carmel Cotton Candy and the others you had mentioned. It makes me mad too, not just the no present thing but it makes us look bad. I've told several people, bragged about it actually, about the digest and the great gp lovers who are as crazy as me. Now they are all asking what I got and I have to tell them... nothing. My husband thinks its a scam and now I'm defending the whole community. Guess I should have kept my mouth shut, but I just love all my digest friends. Thanks for your help and time you spent in all of this. Even if there is no present, I still want you to know that I appreciate what you have done.

Hello Everyone

I'm so happy to tell you that Sabrina is 5 years old
on December 30. She is a solid black Abyssian. It's a
miracle with all her health problems.
She had a large mammary gland tumor removed at 2 years
of age. She is in remission from diabetes. She has
congestive heart failure. She has had numerous bladder
infections from the diuretic medication that turned
into bladder stones. She is prone to fungus on her
behind and she had some arthritis too.
She has always been a big pig! She wouldn't loose
weight even on a diet. She just ate more of what she
could have. She's getting around today as good as she
did as a baby. She runs up the ramp and she still
popcorns too. She loves her cagemate Jasmine and they
are both very smart. They both know lots of food
words. Sabrina's favorite word is "Lettuce."
There is a picture of Sabrina on my "My Pets" page of
my website. The link is under my name.

Dawnda Stricklen

Hi Slaves and pigs,

I just wanted to thank all of the slaves and pigs that pigticipated in this years secret santa. Hope I am the secret santa coordinator next year because I had such a great time and hopefully I can add all of my pigs in for next year's pigticipation.
My pigs also had a great time helping me out, picking out names and all the organizing they did. Thanks to them all.

I also want to thank those slaves that came forth and volunteered to take on extra pigs if needed. You are greatly appreciated.

Fortunately, this year's secret santa pig went pretty smoothly and everyone received their gifts in a timely manner except for a handful of piggies that did NOT receive anything whatsoever because SOMEONE DID NOT SEND OUT GIFTS even though they received gifts for their pigs. You know who you are, I won't mention your name, but I just wanted to let you know, don't even bother to plan on participating next year. I wrote you, and I didn't even get a response. I even gave people a chance to back out for whatever reason with no questions asked and I did not hear from anyone which made me assume everypig was going to receive a gift for Christmas. I thought that was the fairest thing to do.

Now I have a handful of pigs that did not get anything for Christmas and I feel really bad. I wrote to you all that did not get anything and apologized for this person. Why? Because I am a caring, sensitive person that loves pigs and I don't think it was fair of this person to do this. It is a shame that one person has to ruin it and make us look bad. I hope the slaves that didn't get any gifts for their pigs this year (at least not yet) won't let this put a damper on next year's Secret Santa and you will all pigticipate.

I have 2 people that came forth already to send something for a pig that did not receive anything from this certain person. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am sure the slaves and pigs will appreciate it very much. I still have 3 pigs that did not receive anything and needs a 'late' santa piggie. I am really sorry that I have to ask this again.

Well these are my last words on this subject, I'll get down from the podium now. Thank you.

Happy New Year to all slaves (even the buh-humbugs) and wheeks to all the pigs.

Lisa
(2004 Secret Santa Pig Coordinator)

Wanted to wish Sabrina a very happy 5th birthday and hope she has many more to come, despite her medical conditions, she already has come a long way. Great job Dawnda!

By the way, she is a beautiful pig.

Elvis asked me to thank his Secret Santa for his bounce back treat holder! He is very happy with it and says it made his Christmas quite special. And I love the piggie magnet! Thank you for remembering me, as well as little Elvis!
Wishing you a wonderful New Year!

Hello Slaves!
Yesterday was a good day. The Piggies
went to the Vet and got checked out.
Brownie Bear got her usual: x-rays,
urinalysis, etc. And Butterscotch got
a regular check-up. They both got their
nails trimmed too. Brownie Bear didn't
have any bladder stones...Whew! And her
urine looked clear. She hasn't been
whining when she pee's, so I'm sure
she's feeling a lot better. I told the
Doc about how her back legs weren't
acting right and the Doc said that it
was most likely her arthritis and also
the fact the she is Overweight. It's
really hard to diet just one piggie, so
I'm gonna have to figure something out.

I put the pigs in separate travel cages
this time because Brownie Bear is a neat
freak and she likes her area to be
orderly. But, Butterscotch likes to hide
under the towels in the travel cage and
he totally destroys his area. And since
it's such a long ride (it took me 1 hour/
40 min to get there and 2 hours to get
home), I wanted both piggies to have
their own space.

Butterscotch is a 'Lady's Pig' and he was
Flirting with the women Vet Techicians in
the back. One of the VT's brought him back
from his nail trim and said how Sweet he
was. And I thought to myself, "Little do
they know that he is a Bratty little guy
and a Total Humping Machine" ha ha ha

Brownie Bear was of course on her Best
Behavior. They would never believe how
Sassy she is (at home)!

Well, I just wanted to give an update on
my little Cuties.

I hope all Pigs and Slaves are doing well!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeeeps,
Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear
& Butterscotch :-)
