Dear Linda,
I find it very difficult to express the sadness I feel on the passing of your
little girl, IVY. Please accept my most sincere condolences on her passing
and crossing the bridge. I try always to recognize every little guy or girl that
passes when I see the sad news in the digest. As I write that, I also know I
have at times missed some of them, and for that I can only apologize for that
oversight. Usually there are some things I can say to hopefully enhance the
little girl or boy's memory to those that read the post. Yet after reading
Linda's tribute to her little angel, I lack any words that could make that little
girl any more memorable. I can also say without reservation, her mother Linda
was and is truly one in a million in how she helped her little IVY across the
bridge. What I saw in her writing was a love for the littlest of out little
guys/girls...yet who filled her heart with adventure after adventure...and who
despite her tiny stature, she had the spirit of a lioness...a little girl who
gave BACK the love she was given. If I didn't know better, I might think IVY
knew in her heart that she was destined to leave her mommy all too soon and also
knew from very early on her mommy loved her to tears. Just as she did
everything else in life, no time to dilly dally, I HAVE to let her know I LOVE
HER!!!!! The love she showed you Linda some take years to exhibit. So YES, IVY was a
special piggy indeed. I can see why you are so very proud of her, I would be
as well. She passed over the bridge KNOWING how very much you loved her and I
KNOW YOU felt how very much she loved you. She will be missed I'm sure by your
heart but know also that you will again see the little girl and once again
adventures and memories will be shared in a field of clover with her many new
friends in attendance. Once again please accept my deepest and heartfelt
condolences on the loss of IVY, a very special piggy indeed with a very special mother.
Sincerely,
Joseph Petrillo, George the guinea pigs daddy
