[Gpdd] [BEHAVIOR] <Cavy acting like she's addicted to her new food; is t his normal>

I've only had a cavy a couple months now, but I recently started a new food
(a mix including pellets and dried fruit & vegies), and it seems like all my
guinea pig wants to do is eat and forage for any crumbs that may have
fallen.  The food is pretty hard and seems like it requires a bit of
chewing.  Now she will almost ignore any fresh vegies I give her, so she can
get her other food.  She's still young, only a few monthes old. 
 
Is this normal?
