Hi Lauren - Thanks for your kind words about my piggy pictures. You can tell
that my piggies are loved and spoiled can't you? It's hard not to love these
sweet little critters -- they are so charming and easy to love. As for the
scarves -- they were hand made. My husband, who likes to tease me and pretend
he doesn't like my cavies, even got involved in the project and in the picture
taking afterward. The cavies sure looked cute in the scarves and didn't seem
to mind posing for the pictures either. I used a plain ferret scarf as a
pattern except for one problem. The ferret scarf wasn't nearly big enough around
the neck, so I had to add quite a bit of extra material for the guinea pigs'
much larger necks. We also used elastic to attach the two ends to allow for
stretching. One earlier one was made with Velcro to attach the ends (which
also worked), but I think the elastic works better. Good luck with your
vet/billing problems. I know first hand how that is. I went through similar problems
with my Patches. I also had to make a hard decision as to whether I wanted to
eat and pay my bills or not. I spent many nights crying and praying for my
Patches to get well. Thankfully he is doing better right now, and I pray that
he keeps it up. It is so hard when you want the best for your piggies. I sure
wish we had a place like England's Cambridge Cavy Trust that would help
piggies for people who have limited incomes. I wish you and your piggies the very
best. Wheeeeeps from Debra, Patches, Peanut and Pumpkin
