Hi everyone ~ I am thrilled to announce that Petunia finally had her babies around 4 AM Tuesday the 20 th.

She had five, count 'em five happy, healthy little darlings! Three are spoken for, one is definitely staying with us, and the fifth I am trying to line up a home for, but will keep happily if necessary.

"Aunt" Porky just loves the little ones, except when they try to nurse! Porky cuddles with them, grooms them, and herds them around. I never suspected she had such maternal instincts, and thought for sure I'd have to separate her from the babies.

Can anyone tell me when I'll be able to sex them? They all look female right now! Also, I know they get weaned at around three weeks. When can a male baby start to mate? I was happy to take on an already pregnant Petunia to give her and the piglets a good home, but don't want to have any more unexpected deliveries.

Here, here, I say, to George's father Joseph! I am so grateful to the GPDD team for this wonderful digest and all the info and stories they allow us to share about our piggies.
Judi, Porky, Petunia, & the Poppers
                                             Remembering Corky and Gaylord forever!
