I don't like the wood chips either.  Carefresh is my
favorite so far.  I do use shredded paper as bedding
in most of the cage.  It isn't as absorbant, and you
have to change it more frequently, but it is
ultimately much cheaper, especially if you have a
large cage, as I do.  With a large cage (over 3ft long
x over 2 ft wide) and 2 adult pigs, I spot-clean every
2 days and thoroughly clean every 4.
