Hi, I have just joined this list and just have a short question. I am new to guinea pigs and was given one as a pet. Consequently it was pregnant and has just had its baby. The sow only had one, and I am concerned at the size of its offspring. It is about 10 cm long and looks quite big to me. I cant understand how such a large baby could come out of such a small animal. Is this normal ?????? They are born with their eyes open ?? The sow only has 2 teats ??

I am completely amazed at how such a large miracle could happen !
