Hello Heather

I two females, Teah and Jasmine, that did the same
thing. It seems once one pig has really bit another
pig and broke the skin, that they hate each. Jamine
bit a hole through Teah's lip one morning when they
were out eating veggies. I guessed that they got in a
bad fight over the food. Teah was the weaker one
because she had diabetes. Maybe, the more aggressive
ones sense this and know they can get away with it.
Jasmine always seemed to want to be the alpha pig, but
she was the youngest. I tried everything to get them
to be able to live together again, but I had to put a
line of storage cubes down the middle of the cage.
They would clack their teeth at each other every day
through the bars until Teah had to be put to sleep.
Her jaw fused together. I always wondered if had been
damaged by Jasmine and healed wrong. It could have
been tumour too though. The vet was baffled too. It
seems they do not forgive and forget very well.
