A few things in this story struck me -

1. The woman/petshop owner breeds the guinea pigs.
2. She admits the guinea pig "may have been inbred" - but she doesn't even know.
3. She attempted to breed him anyway.

Given this, I would not trust anything this woman said about the guinea pig's behavior problem - not because she is a liar, but because she obviously doesn't know a damned thing about animal care/breeding.
