It's been a bit since I have needed to write and that is a good thing since
if you do not see my name, then ALL of our little guys and girls are doing well
and our hearts are all light and secure in fact we had today to love them.
Well, tonight I sadly must offer my condolences to Michael's daddy and mommy for
the loss they are suffering as I type theses thoughts. I had to smile when I
read the accounts of this brave piggy with his brother Pickles. How they would
mix it up and BOTH glared at daddy when he stepped in to break it up. Could
there be two tougher guys in the guinea pig world???? I'm SURE when MICHAEL got
to the bridge, he strode across just as he lived proud and always number one.
As I type this I can see him now relating his adventures to all the softies,
like our little guy George, who only dreamt of being the tough GP on the
block. But I can also see the sadness in his story when he speaks of daddy and
mommy for having to leave them. and its at this point one of the softies tells
him, it isn't forever MIKE, as sure as we are ALL here now, so will ALL our
mommies and daddies come for us and maybe even take some of our pals who never knew
a home and we'll ALL have forever together with them and NEVER EVER having to
say good-bye!! So I say to David, there is a heaven as you have so eloquently
phrased it and we ALL will be reunited with our little guys and girls as
surely as they live in each of our hearts each and every time we give when we give
them that hug and a kiss you have spoken of. So once again, please accept my
most sincere condolences and my deepest sympathy for your loss. But as you
well know the saddest part IS saying good bye but one day there will be the
rapture of hearing from ALL of our lost ones, "Mommy...Daddy...Where have you been
I have so much to tell you ..but first and MOST important, I REALLY missed
you..."

Sincerely,

Joseph C. Petrillo, George the guinea pigs daddy
