[Gpdd] <Care> lice and itching

Hi everyone,

I got my Sugar at a pet store, and soon found out he had lice.  The vet suggested a simple flea powder to take care of it...but I think they are back.  He is itchy and I can see the dander/lice on his skin.  The vet had mentioned that if the powder didn't work that an injection could be given.  Has anyone heard of this?  Is this safe?  Any advice or experience greatly appreciated!
