Hi Andy,
I am so sorry to hear about your piggie,
Natasha and her urinary problems. My piggie,
Brownie Bear has also suffered with some
urinary problems. If your piggie does have
a UTI, then the Baytril (Enrofloxacin Oral
Suspension) is a recommended antibiotic and
hopefully, it should clear up the problem.
Cranberry juice is also good for UTIs and
I would syringe-feed my Bear some of that
everyday. You're doing the right things,
rest assured.

Now, I have to mention that in the beginning,
my Brownie Bear was diagnosed as having a UTI
but later I found out that she really had at
least 4 bladder stones. The antibiotics would
appear to be working (she was on Sulfa-trimeth
Oral Suspension and later on Baytril). But,
then wheeeks later the UTI would 'come back'.
Well, I finally got her to an Experienced
Exotics Vet and she did x-rays and found the
bladder stones. Later, the Vet removed the stones.

Um, also cranberry juice is good for UTIs, but
Bad for bladder stones...

So, I don't want to tell you what to do, but
you might want to get a second opinion, especially
if you're Vet thinks of your piggie as 'only a
rodent'. I don't know where you live, but if you
live in Northern Va. I can refer you to an excellent
Vet there. Also, if possible, you need to have
x-rays done to at least rule out bladder stones.
They are very painful to our piggies, and none
of us want our piggies to hurt.

Brownie Bear and I send Healing Wheeeeeeeeks
to your Precious Natasha...

     Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeps,
         Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear :-)
