Hi Carlo,
yes, purring means he is happy!!!!! My pigs still like to have hidey spots to hide in. I guess it makes them feel safe. They don't like to be picked up from the ground, but do like to sit in my lap for a snuggle (I tell them they have to get there somehow). I'm glad you are bonding with your piggie!! His trust should grow over time. Just keep on giving him love!
