Hello Fran

Marbles will be her eyes. That is why she follows
her/him everywhere. There have been people that didn't
even know that they had a blind pig until it's cage
mate died. If anything should happen to Marbles, you
need to get another one for her to follow around. 

It helps if you leave everything in the cage the same
and never change it around. That way she won't injure
herself on something that wasn't there before. 
Is your pig an Abyssian? I know that they are prone to
cataracts. Abyssians are the ones with the swirly,
longer hair going every which way, if you don't know
already.
