Hi Fran!  Peter Gurney wrote that he had blind guinea pigs and that does not affect their quality of life -- he even had to point out to visitors which guinea pig was blind.  His book also says that cataracts usually happens when the piggies are older but can happen to young ones too.

Is your piggies' eye white?  My Percy recently got something in her eye and it turned cloudy -- it looks a little weird.
