Leah, Brownie Bear, and Butterscotch, thank you so much for your
condolences on Remie's passing. Although shortly after we adopted him he
was diagnosed with an incurable illness (metastatic mineralization), he had
been doing well for so long that it was a shock to lose him so quickly. He
became ill one Friday morning in August, and after two vet visits, passed
away the next night.

When I first met Remie, he had already had two homes. As I put him into
his carrier, he grabbed my finger with one of his front paws and wouldn't
let go. I knew he was begging me not to leave him. I never did. When he
passed away, my husband and I were at his side; he burrowed his head under
Joey G. and slipped off to the Bridge.

Remie was a sweetheart, a tricolored silkie who enjoyed having a bath and
getting his hair dried. He loved to run laps around the kitchen floor, and
he especially enjoyed when I would pretend to chase him. I know you are
right that he is now having a wonderful time playing at the Bridge.

Thanks again, so much.

Cindy, Joey G., Sunshine, and Tumbleweed
