[Gpdd] MISC: Re: Guinea pig nailcutting and other matters!

My pig Muffy HATES having her nails trimmed as well...it's never fun for 
her, but I have found a few tricks to make the experience less traumatic.

1) Whenever I trim her nails, I do one paw and then take a break for a few 
minutes.  During this time I talk to her (what a good, brave piggy!) and 
cuddle her.  This seems to relax her a bit and she is more receptive to me 
doing the other nails since she knows Mommy is going to cuddle her right 
after!

2) Sometimes I will also give her a piece of lettuce or other treat, and 
start trimming her nails when she has already started munching on it.  She 
still wiggles a bit but is far too interested in her treat to put up much of 
a fuss!
