[Gpdd] [SILLY] piggie beards

Reading about all the little furry people and their tricks reminds me of my first little boy Fluffy. He loved strawberries and would munch away quite contendedly. One day after his treat my daughter picked him up and thought he was bleeding because he was all red around the mouth and on his "chops" She nearly freaked until I remembered someone had been eating berries. I know Fluffy is enjoying his berries at the Rainbow Bridge.
Our current little man Popcorn loves watermelon. He chows down on that with such gusto that his little chops are soaking wet and that's just the time when he really wants to cuddle and give me kisses.
Popcorn also goes wild when the fridge opens up and gets very upset when I leave the room without telling him. I often hear his mournful little wheeks until I go back in the den and tell him I'll be right back. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but then all us GPer's know better.
I often laugh when I read about the silly piggies that are out there and weep when we lose a member of our furry community. Salutations to all birthday piggies and quiet condolences for those who have lost a friend. I never believed I would lose part of my heart to a wee furry fellow but I have twice and probably will again. My husband refers to Popcorn as "that furry rival for my affections". Oh well, he's right.
