Hi Carla!  Glad to hear your Bud is better after the treatment.

>From what I've observed, some scratching, biting and shedding are fairly normal behaviors.  My piggies have not had any skin problems, but sometimes they seem to have an itch that just can't be scratched without some biting too.  Occasionally they've scratched so vigourously that their hair is sticking out in that spot.  I check their skin many times when they are scratching vigourously but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong and they have never lost hair.

Just keep an eye on Bud since he's had the problem with mites.  Sometimes they twist their little bodies around to get an itch -- you wonder if they're going to be able to straighten themselves out!!
