I've had Chips, the Guinea pig from my work at my house for the past week. I
took her to the vet a week ago because she was squealing a lot when her rump
was touched and she looked like she was in pain. She also was often wet on
her bottom and the coat there was matted. My vet (who sees my girls often
and so far has been fantastic) examined her and Chips did not make the
squealing noise. She identified a fungal infection on her bottom and had me
bathe her every day with malaseb.
Yesterday i took chips back in to the vet for a recheck and her condition
had improved. My vet advised me to continue with the malaseb. Chips did her
squealing when rubbed on the rump but after the examination the vet could
find nothing wrong with her. She advised me to keep an eye on it.

Today i got her out to give her a cuddle and noticed a very thick white
discharge coming out of her genital area. She was also saturated not only on
her bottom but all the way up her belly. I am seeing my vet tomorrow but i
was wondering if anyone had any similar experience? Looking on guinea lynx
and cavy madness, i couldnt really find anything similar....

Sorry for the long post, im just worried about the poor girl..
