Hi to all you pig parents! I would like to tap our collective expertise to
see what you guys think. Lately I have been feeding Snickers and Snowball a
fairly boring diet. I read that cilantro has a lot of Vitamin C, and they
just love it. I tapered off on buying them romaine lettuce. The other day I
put some romaine back on their salad plate and they ignored it. In the
summer I gave them a lot of fruit with their cilantro, like cantaloupe,
watermelon, strawberries, and apples. In the summer they also got a lot of
dandelions. I always give them each one mini carrot twice a day (with their
salad) I also give them each a cucumber slice twice a day. They eat Cavy
Cuisine, which has made their coats very soft. But for whatever reasons,
between what they like and don't like, what digest readers share, what looks
affordable and fresh at our somewhat limited grocery, I've gradually cut
back to this 3-component salad of cilantro, carrot and apple twice a day.
Do you think that's bad? I would appreciate knowing if there are any health
concerns for the cilantro. They just love it, as already mentioned. Also if
you think their diet needs more variety, let me know. Thanks and piggie
prayers to all.
Carla
