Hi Debbie,
Panomec contains 1.87% ivermectin which kills mites.  Here in the US, we use Ivermectin for these pesty creatures.  
Usually shampoo does not eliminate mites but may work for lice depending on the shampoo.
I think your vet did well.  Hope your pigs recover soon.  Give all of your pigs a cuddle and tell your Sarah they will be fine.
