Hi Vic,
I'm glad that Winston is feeling better. Weight loss
is a scary thing! Gpigs' gut flora are very sensitive
to antibiotics. I'm pretty sure that's why
penecillin-based AB's are deadly to pigs, because they
irreversibly destroy a pig's gut flora. That's why
it's so important to give a probiotic when on ABs.
Good thing you had a competent vet and were vigilant
about monitoring his condition.
It's great that you got Winston a friend. Is she or
Winston neutered?
