Winston is neutered; when I first got him, I was putting him with a female
and I don't breed them. Of course, in addition, I got him from the shelter
and they will not adopt out any mixed pairs without one of them being
neutered or spayed. Winston was originally a pound puppy, too! We was in the
local municipal shelter, and his time ran out so they surrendered him to my
local Cavy shelter, Cavy Care, Inc. where I found him.

He's one of those special pigs, a handsome Peruvian who's sweet natured and
smart -- you can't believe anyone would ever give him up and that he
wouldn't have been adopted immediately.

I did administer probiotics the whole time Winston was on his antibiotic. It
didn't seem to help that much -- but for all I know it kept him from
completely going off his feed. I gave Winston "Sensodophillus" which is a
name brand of a vegetarian derived lactobacillus. Does anyone have a really
good variety of probiotic that they have had good luck with?
