Yes my piggies like to be rubbed dry in a towel (one
of them, anyway :) ).
The baby wipes I was thinking of I have seen in the
pet store and are made specifically for small animals.
Of course, as we all know just because something is
labeled as safe for small animals doesn't mean it is!
I use it on my rats more than my pigs, because my pigs
don't really need it that much. I wonder if you could
try experimenting with different beddings? Also, I
remember that when my pigs used to eat alfalfa hay, it
would start to smell very quickly if they got some on
the ground and peed on it. They would end up smelling
too.
Hmm... I'll have to check the label of the pet wipes
next time I go.

Hi Lauren! I don't care for baths much myself --
definitely prefer showers :-) Patches and Percy don't
care much for baths either. Patches completely freaks
out when I've given her a bath -- trying to jump out
of the plastic tub. Percy just got real still when I
bathed her. Patches, Percy and Scamp are all
short-hair and they stay very clean. The girls have
just gotten to smell VERY strongly of urine
occasionally -- that's the only time I've bathed them.

I do love snuggling with the wet piggies after they
have had a bath and drying them off -- that's the best
part!!

Are the baby wipes safe for the piggies? I'm just
concerned since they lick themselves -- is it OK for
them to ingest whatever the wipes might leave behind?

Thanks!

Steph
