[Gpdd] Announcement....Speedy

Sunday morning...10:00 A.M.

What a beautiful day here in SW Michigan!  The sun broke bright and clear
in a cloudless sky over the eastern horizon; and there was the hint of
Fall in the cool morning breeze.  Today my beautiful and feisty little
Speedy decided that this would be a good day for his journey over the
Rainbow Bridge.

I found him about 7:00 A.M. very near death so I picked him up and held
him for a while.  He was still conscious and seemed to recognize me.  I
held him against my face and talked softly to him for a few minutes.  I
put him gently back into his cage on a bed of hay and a few minutes
latter he was gone.

I wrapped Speedy in one of my old shirts and buried him a few minutes ago
next to Koko and Abby under an old oak tree near our garden.

Good bye Speedy; have a good journey over the Rainbow Bridge.  There will
be many piggies waiting to welcome you. 

You will be missed but I know now that your suffering has ended and there
will be endless fields of parsley and also tons of cherry
tomatoes.......(which he dearly loved).......for you to munch on.
