Oh no! That's awful. That never happens when I use the
pet wipes for my piggies. Is there a bald patch on his
legs? I wonder if it could have been there before but
you didn't notice it? Anyway, I was just at my vet's
to treat Peanut's nose problem, and he mentioned that
with guinea pigs it is best not to put any kind of
cream or ointment on wounds but it is best to leave
them dry. In Peanut's case, I use a chlorhexadine
solution when I see a scab that has bled, which cleans
the area as well as dries it. I'm not sure if that
would help with Spike's rash if it was due to an
allergy. Is he itching it at all? I hope it goes away
soon. I feel so bad recommending the wipes and then
having this happen to Spike. Let me know how he's
doing.

Hi all,
Well Spike baby has a problem and I’m hoping all of
you can help me out here. I went to the local pet
store and bought those wipes for bathing. I gave Spike
the wipe down and he was not thrilled at all. Then I
clipped his nails. I found that giving him a treat
while I did this helped a lot.
The problem is that Spike now has a rash under his
front legs. It was not there yesterday, I believe his
skin is irritated and what can I do for him to make
him more comfy and help this rash heal?
Any suggestions from anyone would be gratefully
appreciated.
Thanks you.
